Water Damage Restoration in Lincolnshire, IL
Challenge
Loss Description:
On November 10, 2006, United Services was called in to provide flood assistance to MLP U.S.A., Inc., a distributor of Printing Presses manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. of Japan. On that date a water main broke under the warehouse floor at the facility in Lincolnshire and affected 57,000 square feet. In a very short period of time, an estimated 100,000 gallons of water erupted through the warehouse floor and filled the entire facility with 10 inches of water.
Unique Issues:
Hundreds of financial, HR, and legal files along with company records were affected by the water damage along with personal computers, monitors, and printers
Solution
Job Elements:
Once the water was removed, thorough air quality sampling took place and damaged flooring, fixtures and portions of the walls removed. Temporary offices were placed in the parking lot so that the company was back in business on a limited basis by Monday, November 13, 2006. Within six weeks MLP U.S.A., Inc. was back in the building and operating normally.
Job Recognition:
“Through the entire time, United Services made themselves available not only for the difficult physical work of returning the building to a usable state, but also as an advisor for all the related issues to the water damage. We could not have returned to business to service our customers on a relatively uninterrupted basis without the United Services.”
