As the holiday weekend approaches, we would like to
wish you a Happy Independence Day!
Here are some Recommended Safety Tips from the National Council on Fireworks Safety:
-Obey all local laws regarding the use of fireworks.
-Know your fireworks; read the cautionary labels and performance descriptions before igniting.
-A responsible adult SHOULD supervise all fireworks activities. Never give fireworks to children.
-Alcohol and fireworks do not mix. Save your alcohol for after the show.
-Wear safety glasses when shooting fireworks.
-Light one firework at a time and then quickly move away.
-Use fireworks OUTDOORS in a clear area; away from buildings and vehicles.
-Never relight a "dud" firework. Wait 20 minutes ad then soak it in a bucket of water.
-Always have a bucket of water and charged water hose nearby.
-Never carry fireworks in your POCKET or shoot them into METAL or Glass containers.
-Do not experiment with homemade fireworks.
-Dispose of spent fireworks by wetting them down and place in a metal trash can away from any building or combustible materials until the next day.
-FAA regulations PROHIBIT the possession and transportation of fireworks in your checked baggage or carry-on luggage.
-Report illegal explosives, like M-80s and quarter sticks, to the fire or police department.

Water Loss Basics
Thursday, September 17, 2015 9:00am-12:00pm
This course will provide an overview of water damage basics including the various classes and categories of water. There will be a live demonstration and hands-on training opportunities as well. Applicable to licenses from the State of Illinois only for 3 CE credits.
Ethics
Thursday, October 22, 2015 9:00am-12:00pm
This class will define both morals and ethics as they relate to the insurance industry. It will highlight both the benefits of ethical practices as well as the consequences of unethical behavior. Applicable to licenses from the State of Illinois only for 3 CE credits.
Understanding the Basics of Contents Restoration
Thursday, November 19, 2015 9:00am-12:00pm
This class will focus on the logistical challenges and procedures of packing out, cleaning, and moving back contents using industry-specific tools. More specifically, it will address proper methodologies that we use to streamline the process, reduce mistakes, and protect the sensitivity of the contents being restored. Applicable to licenses from the State of Illinois only for 3 CE credits.
